More than half of all Americans are suffering from pain. Whether chronic or a recent episode , pain in America is a serious problem. With my background as a physical therapist, occupational therapist, athletic trainer, childbirth educator and EMT, I am well equipped to treat not only treat your pain but also its source. I am an expert at treating movement and neuro-musculoskeletal disorders, orthopedic problems, such as low back pain or knee surgeries, reducing pain and regaining your function back.
Because of my extensive background in movement and function, I do not confine myself to treating people who are ill. A large part of my practice is directed at preventing injury, loss of movement, and even surgery. I have worked as a consultant in industrial settings to improve the design of the workplace and reduce the risk of workers overusing certain muscles or developing low back pain. I also have provided services to athletes at all levels to screen for potential problems and institute preventive exercise programs. I have been engaged in consulting with Olympic, world-class, professional, and recreational athletes and fitness clubs to develop workouts that are safe and effective. The cornerstones of Physical Therapy Plus are therapeutic exercise and functional training. In addition to “hands-on” care, I also educate patients to take care of themselves and to perform certain exercises on their own.
